Polyethylene is one of the world’s most widely applicable plastic materials. It is a white solid polymeric ethylene derivative. There are several polyethylene types distinguished depending on the production method: LDPE (low-density polyethylene) and HDPE (high-density polyethylene), different in molecular structure, chemical properties and transparency level.

High-density polyethylene is used for packaging manufacturing (cans, containers for solvents, waste containers). Low-density polyethylene, ensuring lower tear resistance and higher flexibility, is used for manufacturing of containers and films for wrapping as well as for plastic bags.
